Personally, I was impressed by the attention to detail in both the ambiance and the dishes served at The Prince. The flavors were exquisite, and each plate was a work of art. The combination of traditional Korean flavors with a modern twist truly set this place apart from the rest.
Overall, The Prince is a gem in the culinary scene of Los Angeles, and I highly recommend giving it a try. Whether you're a foodie looking to explore new flavors or simply in search of a unique dining experience, this is the place to be.
“ Great hidden gem for drinks! Prices are fair IMO and drinks are unique and delicious. Service is good on busy weekend nights. Ambiance is classic underground bar style - red booths, darker decorative pieces, really cool overall vibe. Can't wait to come back and try the food! ”
“ This place is great. That mother effer Matty was so mother effing great i'd let him eff my mother because I need great drinks and a new dad. Perfect bar ambiance, perfect bar lighting. No notes. I also appreciate the bat underneath the bar to protect my mother from lesser individuals who would want to eff her. ”
“ Had a wonderful time at this historic location. The old school booths, dim lights provided a great backdrop. You expect that in a place like this to find a menu with steaks and other typical fare but instead it's got great Korean staples and a variety of choices. Another standout was the great cocktails! Some unusual choices as well as the tried and true. Great beer, wine and soju selection too. Our waitress was happy to recommend some choices and deftly steered us into a very satisfying meal! Another staff member surprised us with a complimentary desert of Korean style buenelos. Delicious. The place buzzed with lots of happy diners. We will be back ”
“ Super tasty food! Excellent service and portions. Went with a great friend to celebrate a milestone and had such a great time! Wonderful easy Valet Parking as well ”
“ I walked into The Prince for the first time around ten years ago as part of a 'famous movie locations' bus tour. We looked around but the tour didn't leave time to get even a drink, so as I was rushed out the door by the tour guide I thought "I'm gonna have to come back here and eat someday". Well today was that day! The place is a little worn and the seats are a little threadbare nowadays, but the classic decor mixed with a Korean menu is so unique you'll forgive it immediately. We opted for some of the more popular items on the menu: the Korean fried chicken (perfect), the kimchi fried rice (also great) and the dumplings (good but nothing special). They have a non alcoholic Suntory beer on the menu which was good for me and a selection of cocktails that I'll have to try when I'm not driving. P.S. If you can avoid parking by taking the metro or ride-sharing I highly advise it. No valet and street parking is a nightmare. ”
“ Hey Girl! Live this NewGirl spot. Great wings and tasty cocktails, bartender made a perfect lions tail which made the wife happy. This place is beautiful and a winner! Love the Bounty but this place is its upscale neighbor for sure! ”
“ This place is such a vibe! We stopped in for after dinner drinks + their cheesy corn and Kim Chee fried rice. Food was yummy and it came out fairly quick. The service was great. And of course the ambiance was iconic. I was more impressed with the place rather than the food and drinks. I'm pretty sure this is where they filmed a lot of tv shows and movies including the New Girl and Mad Men. ”
“ I came to this bar because I love the show "the new girl". I wasn't sure if we were even going to eat when we got there. I'm glad we did. Everything we ordered was delicious and the drinks were so good. The service was interesting but I think is common in some Korean restaurants(correct me if I'm wrong). You push a button next to your table for service. If you come here make sure you get the fried chicken, you won't be disappointed. ”
“ We've been going to The Prince around once a week for the past several months now, and I have to say that it's become one of my favorite places to grab drinks and some food late night. I just love the ambiance and the comfortable, spacious booth seating. We've only been here past 10:00pm on weekdays and it's always pretty full but we've never had to wait to be seated. Long gone are the days where the crowd was mostly Koreans...aside from the servers, we've usually been the only Korean customers here every time. I know the chicken used to be good here, but I have to say that my favorite right now is the sweet and sour pork (tangsuyuk)...it's just so perfectly crispy and the sauce is just amazing. They make it better than most Korean style Chinese restaurants. The service has always been good...fairly quick and super professional, even when they're busy. It definitely helps that they have a bell thing at every table that you can ring when you need the server time come over. I just love the Prince right now, and it'll definitely be one of my regular late night spots nights for the foreseeable future! ”
“ I came here for my birthday because I just love the whole look and feel of the restaurant! There's a good amount of seating and I like how intimate it feels inside so it's a good place to catch up with friends or for a dinner date. They also have valet parking if you can't find street parking. For drinks, I got the our lady of 7th street and it was pretty good and refreshing. I also got the Tropic of Cancer and that one was probably my favorite as it was a good dessert drink! We ordered the pan-fried vegetable dumplings and the spicy chicken with mozzarella and they were both so flavorful and the perfect amount of food for 2 people. I like spicy so it was just the right amount! I did come here one time just for drinks and was denied seating at the booths so you have to sit at the bar if you're only getting drinks. Happy hour is from 4-7pm except Friday and Saturday! Fun fact: If you watch New Girl, you might recognize this place. Lots of other movies/shows have filmed here as well! ”
